Introduction ShalikTheme (“we”) are the developer of the Forms Entries Manager plugin. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data when you use our plugin, particularly when you connect your Google Account via OAuth. We are committed to protecting your privacy. We want you to understand what information we collect and how we use it.
1. Data Collection and Usage Our plugin’s primary function is to enhance the management of entries from popular WordPress forms and integrate them with other services. To provide this functionality, we collect and process the following types of data:
a) Form Entries Data: The plugin stores form entries from supported form plugins (e.g., WPForms, Contact Form 7, Elementor Forms, etc.) in a custom database table on your WordPress site. This data includes all information submitted by your users through your forms (e.g., name, email, messages, etc.). This data remains entirely on your server and is not transmitted to us or any third parties, except as a result of a feature you explicitly enable (like Google Sheets Sync).
b) Google Sheets Sync Data: When you enable the Google Sheets Sync feature, our plugin uses a secure OAuth 2.0 flow to connect to your Google Account. This process requires your explicit permission.
Scopes Used: To perform this function, our plugin requests the following permissions (scopes) to access your Google Account:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets: This scope allows our plugin to create new spreadsheets and read from and write to your existing Google Sheets to sync your form entries.
2. How We Use the Data The data we process is used exclusively to provide and improve the functionality of the Forms Entries Manager plugin.
- Form Entries Data: This data is used to provide features such as fast search, filtering, bulk actions, and the notes system, all within your WordPress admin dashboard.
- Google Sheets Sync Data: This data is used to automatically transfer your selected form entries to your designated Google Sheet, as configured by you. This feature is opt-in and can be disabled at any time.
3. Data Storage and Security
- Data Location: All form entries are stored on your web server. We do not have access to this data.
- Google OAuth Tokens: The OAuth access tokens are stored securely in your WordPress database to maintain the connection with Google Sheets. These tokens are used only to communicate with the Google Sheets API.
- Security: We take reasonable measures to protect the integrity and security of our plugin’s code. However, as the data is stored on your server, you are responsible for securing your WordPress installation and hosting environment.
4. Third-Party Access We do not share any of your form entries or personal data with any third parties. The only third party involved is Google, which receives data from your site only when you activate the Google Sheets Sync feature. The handling of this data is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
5. Your Rights and Choices
- Data Control: You have full control over your form entry data. You can view, edit, delete, and manage all entries from your WordPress admin dashboard.
- Google Sync: You can connect or disconnect your Google Account at any time from the plugin’s settings. Disconnecting your account will revoke the plugin’s access to your Google Sheets.
6. Changes to this Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the “Effective Date.”
